The Scriptures gives some very clear directives if we are followers of Christ?
I have included a short list of some “BE” items below, what are some others you have found in Scripture?
Let’s take it a step further in our discussion and also share some things we have learned growing up that are contrary to Scripture.
• Be Salt • Be Light • Be Generous • Be Content • Be Forgiving • Be Self-Controlled • Be Humble

One thought on “How Does the Bible Say I Should Be?”
steve says:
As I considered this question after I submitted the post there was one thing that came to mind that the Scripture teaches that was completely foreign to me growing up, In my world growing up most days were filled with hostility, arguments, and fist fights in the home were not unusual. The Scripture teaches us, “live at peace with all so far as it depends on you”. I can’t think of a time where walking away from a hostile situation wasn’t an option, I could have done that EVERY time if I wanted to; but my pride got in the way. My “your not going to make a punk out of me” way, which is all just pride, kept me from walking out this command of Scripture. As I am writing this I am thinking of all the friendships and relationships that could have been possible if humility and peace would have been the foundation of my young life rather than pride and hostility.
